Alex Kurtzman is one of the two screenwriters for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and The Amazing Spider-Man 3, along with Roberto Orci. He and Orci were to work on The Amazing Spider-Man Presents: Venom as co-writer and director before it's cancellation, with Ruben Fleischer and Kelly Marcel replacing him as director and writer for the finalized version of the film, unconnected to the Amazing Spider-Man canon.
Kutrzman and Orci are also known for co-writing the screenplays for The Legend of Zorro and The Island (2005), Mission: Impossible III (2006), Transformers (2007), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Star Trek (2009), Cowboys vs. Aliens (2011), Star Trek Into Darkness (2013), and The Mummy (2017).
