J. Jonah Jameson is the editor and owner of the newspaper The Daily Bugle, who Peter Parker later works for. He was referenced to in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 but not seen. In the video game tie in Peter can take photographs for Jameson as requested through messages.
During The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker begins working for Jonah giving him photos of Spider-Man. Peter is seen contacting Jonah on his laptop and sending him a photo, however, Jonah didn't appear to be satisfied with it.
Although in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (video game) he doesn't make an actual appearance he asks (more of a demand) Peter through texting that he does photo investigations throughout levels and in Manhattan of Easter Eggs that appear in the game.
- J.K. Simmons, who portrayed Jameson in the Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy prior to this series, had expressed interest in reprising his role in future films had The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and beyond happened. Eventually, he finally did so in the 2019 film Spider-Man: Far From Home, canon to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- A scene that was written and storyboarded, but never filmed, for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 would've had Jameson and Robbie Robertson appear in The Daily Bugle building during Spider-Man and Electro's final showdown, with the hero and villain crashing through the walls and wrecking the office, much to Jameson's loud disdain.
