The Venom Symbiote is an amorphous extraterrestrial parasite that was attached with Scorpion during the events of the video game The Amazing Spider-Man. It is hinted to appear in the film The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Biography
The symbiote was found by Otto Octavius in one of Oscorp Industries' fallen satellites. It was then bonded to cross-species Scorpion to give it a more powerful effect. After Spider-Man defeated Scorpion, they were taken into custody and their current whereabouts are unknown.
It is possible the symbiote (or some part of it) is being kept secret in a small cabinet in one of Oscorp's Labs, as hinted by The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel director Marc Webb in a Twitter post.[2][3].

- In other Spider-Man media, this certain symbiote is named "Venom" and is one of Spider-Man's most famous and most dangerous enemies.
