The Venom Symbiote is an amorphous extraterrestrial parasite that is hinted to appear in the film The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Biography
It is possible the symbiote (or some part of it) is being kept secret in a small cabinet in one of Oscorp's Labs, as hinted by The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel director Marc Webb in a Twitter post.[2][3].
Video Game Continuity
The symbiote was found by Otto Octavius in one of Oscorp Industries' fallen satellites. It was then bonded to cross-species Scorpion to give it a more powerful effect. After Spider-Man defeated Scorpion, the symbiote removed itself from the creature and its current whereabouts are unknown.

- In other Spider-Man media, this certain symbiote is named "Venom" and is one of Spider-Man's most famous and most dangerous enemies.
- A movie starring the symbiote as Venom is being talked about and will tie into the TASM film series.
- In one of the The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailers, a short scene which is the ending of movie shows Gustav Fiers walking, as we see Doc Ock's tentacles, Vulture's wings, and the Symbiote contained a ball like container. However, in the film, the Symbiote is replaced with the Rhino suit, possibly because Sony doesn't want us to expect Venom to be in the TASM film seriesvery soon until the Venom (film) comes out.
